Back at the helm after a couple months of reloading, and we couldn't be more excited to get back on the train. Madison is treating Evie and I very nicely. The move was a long one but we really, truly are not too far away. Our Halloween Tour which showcased five nights of intensity with some of our greatest friends in the biz, Fat Maw Rooney, was beyond a success. Five nights of foot-stompin' boot flyin' hippy flippin' partytime excitement at its finest. All of us here want to send a heart-felt shout out to the Fat Maw boys for a memorable week of music, a perfect way to steer us all into the final 2007 decent. We also wanted to send a big thanks to our friend Mike Studolph for sitting in with us during a very deep night at JB's Speakeasy on a cold November evening in La Crosse. Mike was a big part of our In The Grain album, contributing pedal steel, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo to multiple tracks on the disc. This was the first time that we played with him since the recording of the CD and we can't thank him enough for being a part of it all. As we approach the end to a very successful 2007, we look towards our home, faithful friends, and family for two shows to take us into the new year. Friday December 14 will be a very special night at the Popcorn Tavern.. This will be a night of big time music and fun had by all, we can't wait to see everyone again where it all began for us. Bandits hit the stage at 9:30pm and will be there all night long. Cost is $5 at the door. NYE 2007-2008 brings us, with a last minute change of venue, to the welcoming arms of our friends at The Joint in La Crosse, WI. This night will be an momentous and emotional night for all us in the Bandit family, please join us and our very special guests for a traditionally extended night of Smokin' Bandits music. Showtime on NYE is at 9:30pm, cost is $5 at the door. This is our 3rd Annual NYE Bash and we expect this long night of music to take control of all invovled in the year transformation. Form everything new, everything old, everything that you've experienced, everything that you've learned, and everything that you've hoped for over the last year into one blazing ball of expectation for the new year ahead. 2008 will be a mighty fine year for us all, we're happy to be able to experience the very beginnings of it with all of you in our home town... Good to talk to you all of you folks again, it has been way too long.. We here wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season!! NYE 2007-2008!!!!!!! more... 8/21/2007 Chubba and Carrie Staehly - 8/18/07 We wanted to send a big heartfelt congratulations to Christian "Chubba" Staehly and his beautiful bride Carrie on their wedding this last Saturday aboard the Julia Belle Swain Riverboat in La Crosse. It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies that I have ever been a part of and we can't thank the Staehly and Moore family enough for an incredible night. I think our song "Hanging By A Thread" will forever be dedicated to our good friend Mike Ellenz (love you Mikey, so glad to give you that big hug on Sunday night), and to everyone making it home safely throughout that monsoon of a storm we had, I know Chubba and Carrie both send their biggest thanks to you for making the effort to be a part of such a memorable night.
